THE GENESIS AND EVOLUTION OF POLITICAL LINGUISTICS

 

The paper analyses the genesis of political linguistics and the basic stages of its evolution against the historical and socio-political background. It is argued that starting with World War One international challenges predetermined the forming of political linguistics as a separate discipline. Nowadays the development of this trend is characterized by the expansion of methodologies and pecularities of national research approaches.
