INTERTEXTEMS, PRECEDENT NAMES, TEXT REMINISCENCES, AND METAPHORS

 

The correlation between the terms “intertextems”, “precedent names”, “text reminiscences”, “historical metaphors”, often referring to similar phenomena in contemporary political linguistics, is considered. Each of the terms is used in its own scientific paradigm and reflects the viewpoint specific to its paradigm. The article deals with the interrelation of the regarded terms within the text, their functions in the discourse, author’s intentions and pragmatic effect on the addresse.
